ILICITO BAR & RESTAURANT

It started with the pursuit of a feeling. Unusual. Imaginary. Strange.

With two floors, connected by a spectacular staircase, the restaurant presents itself as a light and comfortable space to be in. In the bar, the painted murals set the tone: a fun and magical space to have a drink.

It started with the pursuit of a feeling. Unusual. Imaginary. Strange. The atmosphere is built around two painted murals by the artist Sofia Torres.
The restaurant interior design project started with a very difficult layout to work with. Distributed around three distinct rooms: one, on the main floor, overlooking a patio; other, on the 1st floor with direct access to the pool; and the third, the bar, is a few steps higher, facing the street. To achieve a cohesive-looking space, the strategy for this restaurant interior design project was that apparently, nothing seemed to make sense.
Animal print faded carpet on the walls, wallpaper on the ceiling, leather skirt on the bar, and chevron stripes on the floors. Bold choices in the pursuit of having a space with a whimsical charm.
The result is a unique space, filled with mystery, humor, and a touch of quirkiness, in contrast with the soberness of the Editory Boulevard Hotel, the magnificent building that houses Ilícito.
